Joan was born in Espanola, Ontario, on October 16, 1925. While living in Montreal with her family, Joan was devoted to her work as a Real Estate agent. They retired in Winnipeg in the early 1990s. Joan was known for her active life at the curling rink where she loved to curl, and in later life supported curling by watching the games. Throughout Joan's life she has played many games of bridge with her many friends and relatives, and for a while enjoyed her gardening and flowers and her many crossword puzzles.
