DIANE LUCILLE MARIE ANDERSON (nee Gagne) After a brief and sudden illness Diane passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at the age of 57. She fought courageously at the Health Sciences Centre but her fate was decided and God sent for an Angel. Diane was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg on September 16, 1949. She was raised in St. Georges, MB and after graduation, went to Teachers College to earn her diploma in teaching. Afterwards, she began her career back in her home town and soon met her future husband. They were married April 14, 1970 and began their life together in Pine Falls, MB She chose to be a homemaker and raised four children. Her life was always about taking care of others and as her children grew, she returned to work as a Teachers Aide. She enjoyed working with children and was a respected educator at the Pine Falls School for over twenty years. Diane was loved by all and will be sorely missed by all those whose lives she touched, especially by her four grandchildren, Morgan, Graeme, Ava and Emmy. They cherished their grandma and brought her great joy. She is survived by her beloved husband Fred, daughter Kim (Dean) Henrickson and sons Allan, Kent (Amanda) and Jeremy Anderson; also her brothers Roger (Hélène) Gagné, Antoine (Norma) Gagné, sister Evelyne (Denis) Gautron, and sister-in-law Monique Armstrong (nee Gagné). A special great aunt Marg Ford who is the shining light of our family's lives will truly miss her. Waiting for her in heaven were her brothers Marcel and Paul Gagné, and sister Lorraine Guétré. As well, she was reunited with her parents Jospeh and Yvonne Gagné. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, September 17 at the Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church, Powerview, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James Gray presiding. Huge thanks to the Pine Falls Health Centre emergency team, the Neurosurgery team and Surgical Intensive Care team at Health Sciences Centre for the excellent care given to Diane throughout her entire illness.
