RAYMOND COULTHARD Raymond was called to heaven by his maker on September 4, 2007 surrounded by family in the Penticton Regional Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Julia (Judy), one daughter Shirley, husband John D. Clark, two grandchildren, Tracy Lynne and John Jason, one sister Joyce Drewy and nieces and nephews. Ray was in the R.C.A.F. for five years (1941 to 1946), spending four years in England where he met his wife in 1942, marrying in 1944 for 63 years. He was also in North Africa for six months. Ray was born on a farm between Dunrea and Margaret Manitoba. Upon his return to Canada they lived for 11 years in Ninette, MB. He drove a truck and worked at the Sanatorium. In 1957 we moved to Winnipeg where he worked at the Grace Hospital until his retirement in 1982. Moved to Oliver, BC and lived there for 21 years, where Ray enjoyed gardening and golf. They then moved from there to Penticton into assisted living in 2004. Ray wished no funeral, no flowers, donations in lieu to The Heart Stroke Foundation. There will be a Remembrance Tea on Saturday, September 29 at 2:30 p.m. in the lounge at Athens Creek, 170 Warren Ave W., seating is limited. The family wishes to thank Dr. D. Barkhuizen and the nurses on the third floor for their care of Ray.
