HELEN PAULINE GRANKE Peacefully, with her husband by her side, Helen went home to her Maker. Helen was predeceased by her father Anthony, mother Mary and brothers Stanley and Henry. She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her loving husband Gordon, two sons, Bruce (Donna) and Greg, two lovely granddaughters, Alexandra and Darian and two sisters, Josie Urbanovich and Sophie Schaitel. Helen was born in Poland in 1928, immigrating to Canada in 1929 where she was raised on a family farm outside Dugald, MB. In 1960, Helen and Gordon married, moved to Transcona, where they raised their family. She had been employed at MTS for 15 years. Helen had many interests, including Christian Women's Group, playing cards, travelling, especially Las Vegas and Hawaii. She was also an enthusiastic fund raiser for many causes. But above all, mom loved her family and spending time with her many friends. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the wonderful staff at Bethania Personal Care Home, for the loving care of Helen and all of her family. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethania Personal Care Home, 1045 Concordia Avenue. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to the Bethania Personal Care Home. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
