ROY KARTZMARK Our beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and brother passed away peacefully at the Selkirk Hospital on September 14, 2007. Dad was born November 27, 1919 in Winnipeg, moved to St. Andrews in 1922 and to his beloved residence 51 years ago. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga (Manchulenko) in 1988, his parents, Martin Kartzmark (1976) and Mary (nee Scott) (1970), parents-in-law, Dymetro (1985) and Anna Manchulenko (1996), brother-in-law George March (1988), sister-in-law Katherine Kulchyski (2007). Survived by his only child Elinoranne (Jerry Svencicki), grandchildren, Delayney of Kamloops, Bradyn, Micaela and Kieran all at home; and looked upon as his own Janey (nee Kulchyski) (Larry LeBlanc) and family, Len Kulchyski (Liz) and family; his siblings, Martin Scott (Germaine) and family, Robert (Betty) and family, and Elinor and family, sister-in-law Jerry March and family. From his days at the North End Farmers Market, his service in the Canadian Army during the Second World War, his 25 years at the No. 1 Legion and again in retirement on the farm Dad relished a challenge. Throughout life's ups and downs, Dad was able to enjoy his independence almost to the end. We will miss you. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A remembrance service will take place at Little Britain United Church, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2007. Interment to follow in Church yard. A celebration of Roy's life will take place in the form of a Come-and-go Tea from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at 5709 Highway #9. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to Winnipeg Humane Society. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
