Eileen grew up in the town of Asquith, Saskatchewan until she left at the age of was 17 years to enlist in Canada's armed forces, and she served with pride from 1942 to 1946. It was during this time of service that she met another enlistee, Ernie Kull, and they were married on December 29, 1945. Their marital journey lasted 61 years and produced a loving family of six children, 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Eileen loved and cared for her family dearly. Amidst her time spent caring for her children, she managed to train herself to work as a dental assistant for many years. She was a truly remarkable role model to all! Eileen loved to cook for family and friends, and all visitors to their home on Windsor Avenue were certain to leave with a full stomach and a healthy supply of leftovers. Eileen also loved to knit and crochet, and her collection of blankets, sweaters, hats, scarves and mitts could be seen on display all throughout the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A very special and heartfelt thank you to the fourth floor staff of Concordia Place for the excellent care, comfort and support they provided to Eileen and her family.
