I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My dad, Augustyn (Gustek), was a very good family friend, becoming Derrick's godfather. I didn't know the family in Souris but I knew the family in Winnipeg when they lived on Aberdeen and finally on Regent, across from East End CC. Derrick always got stuck entertaining my brother and myself. I enjoyed the walks to St. John's park. Derrick was proud of being a Ham Radio operator; running to the Log Cabin at the junction of Highways 2 and 10 to get Ham Radio cards from other operators ... I last met Derrick on a chance visit at The Forks; we were both with our dogs. Again, I do miss Derrick but I do have very good memories ... - Posted by: Ted NOGA (Derrick's godfather's Son) on: Mar 15, 2017
