WALTER JR. (WALLY) HINDS Died peacefully on September 14, 2007, at the Lakeshore General Hospital at the age of 95. Son of the late Walter and Edith Hinds. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Christine, brother Harold and sister Margaret. He is survived by his daughter Joan, former son-in-law John and much adored grandchildren Paul, Penelope and David. Following wartime service with the Winnipeg Grenadiers, Wally worked for Air Canada until his retirement. Residing first in St. James, Manitoba, he later transferred to Montreal and the family took up residence in Roxboro, PQ. The family acknowledges with gratitude the friendship and help from friends and neighbours which allowed Wally to continue to reside at home until a few days before his death. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at 3:00 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources blvd., Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. The ashes will be taken to Winnipeg by family members in the spring of 2008. Wally will be interred in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens to lie beside his wife Christine.
