DOROTHY ETHEL WILLIAMS (nee WITTICK) Peacefully at the Marion Hospice in Vancouver, BC, Ethel passed away loved and cared for on September 6, 2007, at the age of 97 years young. Predeceased by her husband Art (1999); sisters, Fern and Iris and brothers, Eric, Norman, Gordon and Stuart. Ethel leaves numerous loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Ethel was born in Winnipeg and raised on the family farm in Niverville, Manitoba, where she contributed to the duties of farm life during her youth, later on working for Zeller's as a window display artist, bringing her many artistic talents to bear. Transferred to Vancouver by Zeller's to assist in the opening of their Vancouver branches, Ethel, the clarinetist, met Art, the librarian of the Vancouver Ladies' Orchestra. Ethel and Art married in 1950. Many thanks to staff from the VGH Palliative Care Program, and staff from the Marion Hospice, run by St. Paul's Hospital. Each would be worthy recipients of any donations that might be made in Ethel's name.
