Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLINDA CAROL RONALD (nee MOLDOWAN) Peacefully, on September 16, 2007, after a long and brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis, Linda passed away peacefully with her family surrounding her in body and spirit. Linda was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 23, 1943. She grew up on a farm in Chatfield with her parents, Otto and Evelyn, and her older brother Larry. Linda grew up as an avid scholar, and as time went by, pursued a career in education, becoming a educator through Teacher's College. Linda had two children in 1973 and 1975, Roberta and Ryan. Linda single-handedly raised her children with a whole heart and pursued her education further, obtaining a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba. She continued to work full-time as a teacher throughout. Linda disallowed her MS to affect her life with her children for as long as possible. Her kids were her happy distraction, and the three of them were an extremely close-knit unit. Over the years, the group of them would go on vacations, trying not to let the MS dictate the fun they wanted to have. As the kids got older, and not around as much, Linda also enjoyed herself on cruises, getting to Alaska, the Caribbean, and Mexico. She loved her condo with her partner in crime, Molly the cat. With the help of her kids, Linda was able to remain in her home until 2004, when she finally made the decision to move into the Bethania Personal Care Home. It was there that she met the rest of her loving family that loved and cared for her until her end. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Evelyn Moldowan. She is survived by her children, Roberta Ronald (Ken Berg), Ryan Ronald, and her cat Molly. Linda is also survived by her brother Larry Moldowan (Pat), nieces, Tammy Tervoort (Gary), Vhana Moldowan, nephews, Vaughn and Devon Moldowan and greatniece and nephew, Amanda and Michael Tervoort. Surviving her also, is her former husband Murray Ronald. Her children, Roberta and Ryan, want to extend their warmest thanks to all that knew and loved their mother at Bethania. The people there were her family, her friends, and her confidantes and there are hardly words to thank them all for all they have done. A thank you to Dr. Doermer, and the Bethania Personal Care Home also, for such compassionate care over the past three years. Funeral service will be held at the Stonewall United Church, 369 1st Ave N, Stonewall on Friday, September 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Windsor Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the MS Society . MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
