Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUSSELL HALUSHKA Peacefully, on September 17, 2007, at the Grace Hospital. Russell was born in Homefield, SK, the second youngest son in a family of 11 children. Russell was predeceased by his parents, Mary (Zahaiko) and Andrew; sisters, Julie Beer (Walter), Pearl Kohut (John), and Mae Novak; brothers, John (Anne), Metro (Mary), Alex, Steve (Elsie) and Joseph; father-in-law Jacob Tkachyk. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory, his loving wife Rosalie (of 48 years); sisters, Anne Antonishyn (Joe), Angie Koroll (Harry); sister-in-law Rose and brother-in-law Tony; mother-in-law Annie Tkachyk; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 20 at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Ave., with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H. officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints. Pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in Russell's memory may be made to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8.
