Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER ED OBIREK Peacefully on Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Walter passed away at the age of 84 years. Walter will be sadly missed by his wife Anna of 56 years, his sons, Julian, Perry (Diane), Neil (Julia) and his grandson Cole. He will also be remembered by his sisters, Violet, Frances, Lily, Phyllis (Emil), Gloria (Ted) and Iona, brothers, Charles (Louise), Michael, Ivan (Olga), Larry (Dallas) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Stella, sisters, Pauline and Jeannie and brother Donald. Walter was born in Highland Glen on January 14, 1923. He farmed there throughout his life, while working in construction with the Department of Highways. Walter enjoyed many good years of retirement on the quiet family homestead and graciously (and happily) endured his grandson Cole's many loud visits on a wide variety of snowmobiles and dirt bikes. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Cooks Creek, Manitoba with Father Martin Bradbury officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Church or to a charity of choice. Seasons Funeral Service Oakbank, Manitoba 444-5444
