Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLLOYD MCINTYRE On Tuesday, September 18, 2007 Lloyd passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital. Lloyd leaves to mourn his wife Helen of 31 years, sons, Kirk (Merry-Anne), Brent (Gail) and Craig (Cecille) and his grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, Trina, Crystal, Kevin, Aaron, Cameron, and step-children, Karen, Wendy and Shirley (Frank) and grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn his sisters, Yvonne and Audrey and his brother Ronald as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lloyd was predeceased by his brother Doug and sisters, Beth and Alene. Lloyd was born in Swan River October 16, 1922. At the age of 17 Lloyd left Swan River to make a life for himself. He came to Winnipeg where he joined the Air Force and became an aircraft mechanic for the RCAF. He was deployed overseas during the Second World War doing what he loved to do. Lloyd could tell many interesting tales about his adventures and came home with three medals of honour. When Lloyd returned to Winnipeg after the war he began a career in the printing industry where he worked for 24 years. He then decided that the weights and measures industry needed his expertise so he indulged them for a number of years until he retired. For those of us who knew Lloyd, we say this with love in our hearts... he always knew best and was one of the most stubborn and determined men alive (we can say this now because he can't deny it!) Lloyd was an avid chess and checker player. He loved the game and it was rare that he was beaten by any of us. He spent many years enjoying the family cottage at Jessica Lake where he made many friends. Lloyd was also well known for his homemade beverages and we all indulged. There were many good times had at the lake. Special thanks to Dr. Dalling, Dr. Finlayson, and all the nursing staff on the 5th floor at Seven Oaks. Thanks also to nurse (mother) Teresa. Cremation has taken place as Lloyd wished. A private family service will be held. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
