BERNIE MICHAEL VACHON It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Bernie Vachon on September 14, 2007 at the age of 44 years. Bernie leaves to mourn his companion Rhonda Lavallée, father to Kevin Lavallée (Nicole Chartrand), Godfather to Erica Rose and his buddy Taz (family dog). Brother to Sandra Catellier (Guy), Earl McBean (Donna), Billy McBean (Sheryl), Robert (Bob) Vachon and Joanne Vachon-Egli (Myles). Bernie is also survived by his in-laws, Claude and Doreen Garton, Eddie St. Cyr (Laura), Cindy Coutu (Terry), Roland Lavallée (Julie), Lorraine Coutu (Harry) and Joe Lavallée. He will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by Stacey McConnell, Jason McNish, his co-worker/employer/friends, and Eddie and Crystal Blais. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Anita Vachon, sister Kathy McBean and his long time partner and side-kick J.D. (his dog). Bernie worked hard in the construction industry for over 20 years. He enjoyed life to the fullest. He thought himself to be quite the philosopher at times. He was always full of ideas, trying to come up with ways to make the job easier. Bernie was definitely most looking forward to being a grandpa in December, he couldn't wait for that baby to be born. We would like to thank everyone that helped out at the accident site on that tragic morning especially the neighbours, the bystanders and all the emergency personnel. Visitation/viewing will be held Thursday, September 20, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Funeral service, also at Voyage, will follow Friday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up at TD Canada Trust for his future grandson. Deposits to be made payable to Rhonda Lavallée at any TD Branch.
