ROWENA ELIZABETH (REIMER) HARMS Rowena, known as Betty, went to be with Jesus, into her eternal home that she so longed for, on September 18, 2007 at Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach. Betty was born November 4, 1936, to the P. D. Reimer family, the seventh child of 11. She lived a full life of 70 years with involvement in church and the Gideons. She married the love of her life Cornelius Harms on May 28, 1955 and oh how they did love for 52 years and four months. Corny and Betty had four children, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Patsi (Errol) Sherman, Rachelle (Jon Jost) and Naveed, Mandi (Chris Carter) and Ethan; Dr. Dawson (deceased) (Lydia married to Ken Warkentin), Jesse, Dr. Naomi Jane, Elliott, David (Janice) and Logan; Sherry Funk, Abigail (deceased), Gabrielle, Tessa, Brendyn; David (Janelle), Dawson and Katie. Betty was predeceased by her sister Amanda, her mother Maria and father Peter, her son Dawson and granddaughter Abigail. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 21 at 7:00 to 7:30 p.m. with sharing at 7:30. A memorial service will be held at the Mennonite Brethren Church, Corner of Lumber 2nd, Steinbach on Saturday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Heritage Cemetery prior to the service.
