Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySHIRLEY GOLDSTEIN (GODFREY) After a brief illness, Shirley passed away peacefully, September 17, 2007 at the Two Hills Health Centre in Alberta, surrounded by her three children. Shirley was born March 28, 1934 in London, England. She obtained her teaching certificate before immigrating to Canada in 1957, to teach in Hanley, Saskatchewan. Following her marriage to Samuel Goldstein, she settled in Saskatoon. She later moved to Winnipeg and then to Edmonton, where she managed The Needlepoint Gallery until her retirement in 2005. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Sidney and Gladys Godfrey; and by her sister, Betty. She is survived by her children, Naomi, Jordana and Paul (Cathy); by her grandsons, Dani, Stefan, Braydon and Kyle; as well as her brothers, Tony (Joy), Harry (Marlene) and John; her sister, Angela; numerous nieces and nephews; and Samuel Goldstein. Interment took place at the Rosh Pina Memorial Park in Winnipeg on Thursday, September 20. Donations in Shirley's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I love you Mom and miss you everyday. I know you walk with me on my journey through life. I so often talk to you and hear your encouraging words and if I close my eyes can feel you give me a hug. i am so lucky to have had such a strong close relationship with you and benefit from all the unconditional love, strength, encouragement you gave me through out my life! You were always there for me and I am so thankful and try to do the same for my son.
