Upon his return from the war, he was employed with the Winnipeg School Board for 34 years. He moved to the West Coast to be closer to his daughter and granddaughters (Laura and Dana) in 1980. He will be greatly missed by his wife Sue of 59 years, his daughter Val Lymburner (Jack), his granddaughter Dana (whom he was so very proud) and great-grandsons Jacob (whom he loved ever so dearly) and Thomas.
