ELLEN CROTHERS FULLERTON (DUFORT) nee MCCORMICK Ellen passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre at the age of 91. Ellen was born in Belfast, Ireland to Anne and George McCormick. The family came to Canada when Ellen was two. They settled in Fort Garry. In 1935 Ellen married Noel Dufort and they lived in Transcona. They had two children, Robert Lionel (Lyle) and Nola Anne. Ellen worked in Eaton’s for many years, first in House wares then on the “Buy Line.” Noel passed away in 1971. Ellen later met Dave Fullerton and they were married in 1976. She was predeceased by her parents, both husbands and her son Robert Lionel (Lyle) Dufort. She is survived by her daughter Nola Chudley (Bruce) of Lac du Bonnet; daughter-in-law Rita Dufort; brothers George McCormick (Betty) and Bob McCormick; sister Anne Moore; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Ellen has been a resident in Kildonan Personal Care Center for five years. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff for all their loving care and concern. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of choice.
