JOAN M. ASHTON (nee HILLS) Peacefully at the Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Friday, September 21, 2007, Mrs. Joan Ashton formerly of Treherne, Manitoba passed away at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn her passing four children, Gordon B. (Karen) Jones, Grace Lamothe, Peter (Karin) Jones, Maggie White; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends from England and Canada. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Linda Lee, her husband Gordon E. Jones and by her second husband Neil Ashton. Cremation has taken place according to Joan's wish. Funeral Services will be held at the Deer Lodge Worship Centre on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Cemetery in Treherne, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Daycare girls from Treherne and the doctors, staff and volunteers of the Deer Lodge Centre.
