Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY JANE ABBOTT (KRINKE) January 31, 1936 to September 19, 2007 Mary, after a courageous battle with cancer, died in the Saanich Peninsula Hospital, Victoria, BC. She was predeceased by her mother, Margaret; stepmother, Hadwik and father Aron; two sisters, Ellen and Carol and her brother, Cacthl. She is survived by her loving husband, Bud; her daughter, Susan Abbott (Colin Pain); two sisters, Francis and Inez and four brothers, Dale, Ronnie, Randy, and Eldie. Mary was born in Ferintosh, Alberta, and resided there until a farm fire caused the family to move to Shining Bank, Alberta. On leaving school, Mary worked at the hospital in Edson, Alberta before moving to Calgary to work for an Oil Company. In 1960 Mary was accepted by Air Canada as a Flight Attendant, based in Calgary. In 1967 she was transferred to Winnipeg, and in 1981 she married her husband Bud. Both retired in 1986 and moved to their cottage at Falcon Beach, Manitoba, where they resided until 1989 when they moved to Sidney BC, and later to Saanichton, BC. At Mary's request she will be interred at Ferintosh, and there will be no local service in Saanichton. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charity. Mary and family wish to thank Doctors Burke, Brown; Home Care Nurse, Judy and Palliative Care Nurses for their assistance during this trying period.
