Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDONALD ARCHIBALD DELISLE 1923 - 2007 On Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Grace Hospital, Donald Archibald Delisle, aged 84 years, passed away. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean; son Don and wife Karen; daughter Margaret and four grandchildren, Michelle, Christine, Tiffany and Andrea, and his sister Margery Burton. Don served in the Second World War with the Canadian Army and was stationed in London prior to joining the allied invasion of Europe. Don kept in contact with the British family whom he became close friends with during the war. Don has a long career with the Winnipeg Tribune and upon the Tribune closing was transferred to Edmonton with the Journal. Upon retiring Don and Jean moved back to Winnipeg, to be able to spend more time at their cabin at Ingolf. While he had his health, Don took great enjoyment watching his grandchildren in all of their activities, including band concerts, school and sporting events. In keeping with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and no memorial service will be held. The family would like to express their appreciation to the doctors and staff of the third floor of the Grace Hospital for the care given to Don during his illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3A 1P6 or a charity of your choice. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway - 783-7211
