CAROL ANN RITCHOT On Friday, September 21, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre, we lost our wife, mother, grandmother, and friend; far sooner than we expected. She gave so much to all of us, and it breaks our hearts that she left us before we could give more back. Carol was predeceased by her parents, George and Anne Morris. She is survived by husband, Paul; daughter Tiffany (Steve) and their children Cameron and Alixana; son Brad (Marijay) and their children Mai-Lee and Eric; special cousins/friends Lynda (Perry) Komonko and Shirlee Zest; and her puppy Bear. Born in Toronto, ON on January 6, 1944, Carol moved to Winnipeg shortly afterward, where she spent most of her life. She worked at Eaton's until she and Paul decided to start a family. She loved being a wife and mother, and later a devoted grandmother. In 2006, Carol and Paul achieved their dream of retiring to the cottage they loved in Lac du Bonnet. Bear completed their household. Carol loved fishing, rides in the pontoon boat, visits from family especially the grandkids, and attending the Saturday meat draw at the Lac du Bonnet Legion. Heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends who gave their support; particularly our special angels, Lynda, Perry and Shirlee; the staff at Pinawa Hospital; the ambulance team from Whitemouth; and the staff at HSC Ward A5. A special thank- you to the HSC SICU staff who did so much to keep Carol comfortable and the rest of us sane. Their kindness will never be forgotten. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 25, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol's name can be made to the Health Sciences Centre Foundation, MS-1, Thorlakson Building, 820 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1R9.
