GERRY VAN RYCKEGHEM With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gerry Van Ryckeghem on September 22, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre. Gerry is survived by his wife Doris of 59 years. He is also survived by his sons, Brian (Elaine) and Don (Joanne), daughters, Lisa (Lyle) and Cathy (Ralph). He will be especially missed by his grandchildren, Derek (Jenn), Jeff (Crystal), Andrea (Paul), Chris (Katie), Carey, Kia, Aaron, Shelby and Sasha, great-grandchildren, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Cyrel, mother Maria; brother Frank and great-grandaughter Amanda. Gerry worked at the CPR for 46 years. He enjoyed his retirement playing bingo, VLT machines and just hanging out with his wife Doris. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Health Sciences Centre. Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, 675 McDermot Ave Rm ON1160, Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
