MARIE LUCETTE ANNA RITCHOT (nee LARIVIERE) July 21, 1915 September 23, 2007 Peacefully, after a valiant struggle, Lucette began her final journey home. Born in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, mom was the eldest of 11 children. Predeceased by her father Victor, mother Berthe (Maheu), husband Arthur, son-in-law Richard Parsons, brothers, Gerald, Marc, Edgar, Raymond, Roger and Henri and sisters, Edna, Elsie and Gaetane. Mom is survived by her son Ron (Marilyn) of St. Albert, Alberta, daughter Marci (Bill) Collins, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister Annette, the baby of the family . Mom was a life-time member of the Charleswood Legion, where she served as the treasurer during her entire membership. She also visited with the veterans at the Grace Hospital on a weekly basis until, at the ripe old age of 86, she could no longer drive! She will be remembered for her strength through all of her adversities, and for her general love of life she was one tough lady. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the fourth floor staff of Beacon Hill Lodge for their love and care during mom's stay. Cremation has taken place and at mom's request, there will be no service. Should friends desire, a donation can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg MB, R2L 1X3.
