EILEEN JOAN PLOUFFE (nee LOOKER) Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of Eileen on Friday, September 21, 2007, at the Grace Hospice at the age of 73 years. Remaining to forever cherish Eileen's memory are her husband Hank of 50 years of marriage; son Paul (Wanita); daughters, Tara Missyabit (Glenn), Darlene (Micheal) Grenier; grandchildren, Robert, Ryan, Nicholas, Becky, Jonathan, Paul and Kyle; great-granddaughter Willow; sisters, Grace (John) Elms and Peg (Alf) Hunter; as well as numerous relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father William Arthur; mother Blanche; sister Kathy; and brothers, Sonny, Sam and Fred. Eileen met her husband in Germany where she worked for the N.A.A.F.I. Canteen services. Married in England they transferred back to Canada in 1957 where they finally settled in Winnipeg. An outgoing person, Eileen enjoyed knitting and sewing. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo and shopping. Family gatherings would always include a card or board game. Eileen was proud of her family. Eileen's funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive.
