HEDWIG (HEDY) SOPHIE COOK (nee OMINSKI) With deep sorrow, the family is saddened to announce that Hedy unexpectedly passed away at Grace Hospital on September 22, 2007. She struggled with a variety of medical problems over the past 45 years and was peacefully released from her suffering and pain into the loving arms of our Lord. She is survived by her husband Joseph; daughters, Linda Cook, Barb Fries (Garry), and Darlene Ziolkoski (Aarron); grandchildren, Trevor, Trent, Brittany and Kolby; sisters and brothers, Vicky Kreger, Mary Dzogan, Ted (Gladys), Wanda, Irene and Ron (Bev) Ominski and sister-in-law Jean. She was predeceased by her brother Ed and sister Jean. Hedy was born on October 25, 1923 and lived in Winnipeg her entire life. She dedicated her life to her loving husband of 62 years, her children and grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bernadette Parish 820 Cottonwood, officiated by Fr. Fred Olds on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Parish Centre. Family interment will be on Thursday afternoon at Elmwood Cemetery.
