DONALENE DAVIDSON (nee COCHRAN) Peacefully on September 24, 2007, our beloved wife, mother and granny passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 62 surrounded by her loving family. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Cliff; her daughter Kayla Hendrickson (Frank); sons, Jared (Kedi) and Josh (Michelle); grandchildren, Tamara, Erika, Lua, Nabil, Carmel, Elika, Enoch, and Laila; her sister Phyllis Wray (Leonard) and many other family members and friends. Donalene is predeceased by her parents, and her mom Wilhelmine, her sister Shirley and brother Mervin. Donalene was born August 11, 1945 in Shoal Lake, MB. The youngest child of Clarence Cochran and Dorothy Foxton of Lavinia MB, she grew up on the family farm north of Lavinia. It was here she developed a love of animals and especially horseback riding. She belonged to the 4H Club and church choir. She attended Lavinia and Hamiota schools and finished her schooling in Birtle where she received her Commercial Business Degree and also met the love of her life Cliff Davidson. Donalene and Cliff were married on March 11, 1967. She worked for the City of Winnipeg Legal Services for 24 years retiring in January 2007. Throughout her adult life Donalene was busy as a Mom and member of The Baha'i Faith where she was very involved with the teaching of children and adults for 25 years. Special thanks go to the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit and Health Science Center, ward H3 for their care and compassion. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., Winnipeg, MB. Interment will follow in Selkirk at St. Clements Cemetery, Hwy. 9 with lunch to follow at Cropo Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Palliative Care Endowment Fund, St. Boniface Hospital and Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Room D1 003, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6.
