MONIQUE (MONICA) CANTAFIO (nee TREMBLAY) March 7, 1927 - September 23, 2007 With her children at her side, on September 23, 2007 Monique found peace. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, Monida (Tom), Loretta, and Frank (Janice); seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sisters, Charlotte and Ghislaine; brothers, Jack (Shirley) and Denis (Alice), and numerous nieces and nephews. Monique's caring and generous spirit was felt by all those who knew her. Monique had many interests including a passion for opera. She enjoyed reading and had a designer's flare for decorating. What she treasured most was the time she spent with her family. Mom's unconditional love and encouragement will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren, whom she adored. Mom (Gram) will be dearly missed. Mom's unending faith saw her through many difficult challenges throughout her life; her courage and strength continue to inspire many others. A special acknowledgement to Auntie Joyce, (Ghislaine) for always being there . Thank you to the staff at Foyer Valade for their compassionate care and for recognizing and appreciating Mom's many gifts. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernadette Parish, 820 Cottonwood Drive, with Father Fred Olds officiating. Private family interment of the cremated remains will follow at the St. Boniface Cemetery.
