RAYMOND GLEN WITTENBERG Raymond was born in Pinawa, MB on April 12, 1972. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a degree in Management, double majoring in Small Business and Marketing. He was currently residing in Winnipeg, MB. Raymond tragically passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 during a kayaking accident in the Yukon while visiting his sister, brother in-law and their children. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother and father, Edith and Edmund Wittenberg, sister Cindy Zechel (Paul) and their children, Heidi and Matthew and Grandma Jessie Gibbons. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Fred and Hannah Wittenberg and Willard Gibbons and uncles, Richard Bishoff and Nick Darichuk. Raymond's first priority was always his family. If you needed someone, it was Raymond you would call. He put others before himself and taught us how to find peace and contentment. His passions were kayaking, snow shoeing and philosophy. Raymond was a devoted uncle, a loving son and brother and a loyal friend and we will miss his kind, gentle, giving spirit. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Prayers will be said on Friday, September 28 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in River Hills, MB. Interment will follow in the Oldenburg Cemetery.
