LESLIE MCEWEN GRAHAM September 18, 1939 September 22, 2007 (PAPA GATOR) After seven months of fighting brain cancer, Les succumbed to his disease on Saturday, September 22, 2007. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie and Bill, his brothers, Arnold, Clarence and Doug, his sister Beatrice and brothers-in-law, Graham Shaler and Rolly Nault. Les is survived by his wife of 46 years Diane, his daughters, Gail (Bill) and Gwen, sons, Gary, Glen (Laura) and Bob Lagasse (Brenda) of Ottawa, six grandchildren, his sister Gloria Nault, sisters-in-law, Leona, Eva and Ethel, plus many nieces and nephews. Les worked for Dominion Malting in Transcona for 33 years. He was involved with Local 227 of the BFCSD until they amalgamated with UFCW. He served several terms as president. He retired in 1995 and started Gator Alley Ent. with his son Glen. They did mechanical and auto body repair for which Les received his Journeyman Certificate in 1960. Eventually they had a fleet of three tow trucks and started Anola Towing in 1990. Towing was Les' passion after his grandchildren. He loved towing and was out there doing his job in all kinds of weather. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue, East, Beausejour, MB. Special thanks to Drs. and staff at CancerCare, Manitoba, to Dr. Zeiler and nursing staff at Beausejour Hospital, Springfield 1st Responders and St. Anne Ambulance Crews.
