MARLENE (NANNY) MONTGOMERY (nee AMMETER) January 1, 1954 - September 24, 2007 It is with great sorrow the family announces the sudden and tragic passing of our beloved sister, mother, and grandmother Marlene on September 24, 2007 at the age of 53. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Werner and Doris Ammeter. She will be sadly missed by her sister Beverley Ammeter; sons, Dave, Mike, Daniel (Theresa); grandchildren, Kenny and Charley. She will also be remembered by her best friend Judy, as well as many extended family and friends. Marlene was the first baby born in 1954 in Canada. She lived most of her life in Starbuck. Marlene was involved with 4H and was known for her sewing and crafts. She was extremely generous, her life was dedicated to her family. Her kids and grandkids were most important to her and she did everything she could for them. Marlene and her sister, Beverley, were best friends and shared many laughs and tears together. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow.
