KAREN ELAINE NOGA (nee NUTTALL) It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden passing of our dear wife, mother and friend on September 25, 2007. Karen was born on April 7, 1963 in Winnipeg, MB. She was predeceased by her father BN Albert Nuttall and her mother-in-law Barbara Halina Noga. She leaves to mourn her husband of 14 years, Walter; her three children, Stephanie (13), Zachary (12) and Craig (9); her mother Ruth Nuttall; her brother Robert and his wife Cheryl; her father-in-law Augustyn Noga and her brother-in-law Ted and his wife Cinta, and their children, Alexa, Noah and Liam. As a youth she played ringette, softball and loved to hunt ducks with her dad BN . She was an avid sports buff who loved to watch hockey, football and golf. She was also very outdoorsy: she loved to snowmobile in the winter and camp and spend time at the beach in summer. She graduated from Red River Community College as a Lab Technologist and worked at St. Boniface for 15 years in the Haematology Department. She met Walter in March of 1992. They had a whirlwind romance, were engaged by July 1992 and married by June 1993. They immediately started their family and then the fun began! Karen's love for sports grew while watching her kids participate in their numerous activities including hockey, football, soccer, dance, gymnastics and horseback riding to name a few. She also was really proud of their scholastic and musical achievements. She especially loved her time with her babies Fudge and Stewie. Karen had many friends and loved partying with the hockey parents, meeting with the Book Club girls, golfing with Walter and Nicole and hangin with buds from the hospital and MAHCP. But especially dear to her heart was having the chance to golf with her son Zachary. Not only once but twice. Never to sit idly by, Karen had a career change in 2000. She joined MAHCP as a client Labour Relations Officer. She went back to school enrolling at the University of Manitoba under the Faculty of Human Resources and was working towards her Bachelor degree. Throughout this, Karen endured numerous surgical procedures never once complaining or feeling sorry for herself. Her thoughts were first and foremost with her family and how she could make their lives better. She felt blessed to have a wonderful, caring husband and fabulous kids. Thanks to Dr. Hedden for his care and concern, and all the staff at St. Boniface, Grace and lastly Concordia. She will be sadly missed but her memory will be forever cherished. May she rest in peace knowing she touched many hearts. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive in Fort Garry on Friday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 1:30 p.m. The service will terminate at the church and cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2 and/or to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
