STANLEY JOHN MAY January 24, 1919 - September 25, 2007 After a brief illness Stan passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. Stan was predeceased by his parents Mary and Lucius and his brother Phil. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years Alma, sister Eileen, and many nieces and nephews. Stan served with the Canadian Air force in the Second World War and initiated his work career with Drewery's Brewery in 1943. He spent the majority of his 41-year career with Canada Post from which he retired in 1984. Stan was a proud and determined person who was unstoppable when he made up his mind to do something. Stan loved their cottage at Lakeshore Heights where he and Alma developed life long friendships with many neighbours. Stan's friends were very important to him and although most of them had predeceased him he still cherished their memories. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, West St. Paul. Special thanks to the staff at Grace Hospital D3 and Victoria Hospital ICU for their compassionate care, during his final days.
