MINNIE FREDA SCHEPENS (nee MILNER) Beloved mother, grandmother and educator, Freda passed away peacefully, her loving family by her side, at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC on September 20, 2007 at the age of 92. She leaves behind many who were touched and shaped by her patience, work ethic, sense of fairness, kindness and love. Freda was born on May 20, 1915 in Winnipeg, MB. She married Harry Schepens in 1939 and, while raising five children, embarked on a career as a high school teacher. Freda loved her students and was adored in return. She was predeceased by Harry and her brother William R. Milner. Her sister Ursula Eastes passed away the day after Freda. Freda will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
