MURIEL ROSINA ROSS (nee SIMONS) Peacefully on September 20, 2007 at the Charleswood Personal Care Home, Muriel passed away at the age of 92. Muriel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on November 14, 1914. She leaves to mourn her passing: son David (Bev), granddaughter Amy (Mitch) Rogers, great-grandson Seth; grandson Andrew (Julie); daughter Brenda (Jim) Morris, grandson Bryan (Pam), great-grandson Evan, great-granddaughter Marlies; grandson Gregory (Courtney), great-grandson Brayden; son Donald (Penny); her niece Sandra (Gregg) Cochlan and their three children; and her nephew John Hughes. Muriel was predeceased by her husband Ed and her sister Doris. Muriel worked at Eaton's until her marriage in 1947. She then worked at raising her family until she returned to the workforce in 1965 at the St. James Civic Centre canteen until 1975. Muriel loved spending summers at Whytewold Beach with family and friends. She was an active member of Deer Lodge United Church until the church closed its doors. Muriel was also an active member of the P.E.O. Chapter M. and enjoyed being a member of the Setter Street Seniors Club. Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at Chapel Lawn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
