ADELYNNE MARY SNOW (SNIEZEK) On Saturday September 8, 2007 Adelynne slipped peacefully away into the arms of her Creator. It is with deep sorrow that our family announces her passing at the age of 78. She was predeceased by her parents Klemens and Emilia Sniezek, her brother Michael, and her sister Rose Josephine. Left to mourn her are her sister Jennifer, her niece Eleanor Kozier (Dennis), grandnephews Christopher, Michael and Daniel, also a nephew Joseph and grandniece Grace, as well as her pet Pomeranian companion called Rex . Amongst her family, friends, and associates Adelynne was appreciated and loved for her optimistic view of life, her ready wit, and fine sense of humour, which will be missed by all who knew her. From early childhood, Adelynne was fascinated by all forms of plant and animal life, and loved to go fishing whenever her brother would take her. She was a voracious reader, and had a deep compassion for all suffering humanity, and donated to many world-wide organizations. A graduate of St. Mary's Academy and the University of Manitoba, she led an active career as a Social Worker in Winnipeg, and later retrained, to take on a high school teaching position with Transcona-Springfield School Division and latterly with Assiniboine South School Division until her retirement from Charleswood Collegiate. During her youth she was a member of St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, being a member of the choir, as well as serving as a lector. She was also an active member of St. John Cantius Fraternal Aid Society. Later, when the family took up residence in St. Vital, she joined St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Parish and volunteered as lector. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Charles Pottie S.J. was celebrant. Following, interment took place at Holy Ghost Cemetery with Msgr. Louis McCloskey officiating.
