MADELEINE ESTHER MARIE DE VLIEGER Passed away at the Grace Hospice on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at the age of 82 years, Madeleine Esther Marie De Vlieger (nee Martens) of St. Norbert, formerly of Mariapolis, MB. Madeleine leaves to mourn her passing her sons, Eddie (Antoinette) of St. Norbert, Jim of Regina, SK; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, August (Annie) Martens of Baldur, Gerry (Antoinette) Martens of Brandon; a sister Mary Wytinck of Pilot Mound; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Madeleine was predeceased by her husband Maurice (1995); brother Maurice Martens; and by a sister Clara DeSmet. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. in the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Mariapolis, with Father John Nguyen as celebrant. Interment to follow in the Mariapolis Parish Cemetery. Friends that so desire, memoriams may be made in Madeleine's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
