Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAWEL PETRYK Peacefully, on September 27, 2007, Pawel passed away at the Riverview Health Centre with family by his side. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Anastazja; children, Danuta Kinnear (Andrew) and Krystyna Towells (Darren), grandchildren, Martha, Matthew, Christophe and Pavel; sister Wanda Klim (Stanislaw) and brother Stan Petryk; and many nieces and nephews. Pawel was predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth, parents, Joseph and Anna, and brother John. Pawel was born on June 20, 1928 in Glemboczek, Poland. During the war his family was deported to Siberia where he spend the next six years. In 1946 he returned to Poland to serve in the army and later to work as an electrician in a chemical factory in Brzeg Dolny. Pawel met and married Anastazja in 1954 in Nedzica, Poland. They came to Canada in 1961 where Pawel worked at Pioneer Electric for the next 30 years. After retirement in 1991, his new career included puttering in the garden and Mall Walking every morning. A funeral service will be held at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 201 Scurfield Blvd., on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7 would be appreciated.
