T. WILLIAM (BILL) SHIELDS May 1, 1933 - September 27, 2007 T. William (Bill) Shields, of Komarno, formerly of Brandon. Bill lost his brief encounter with cancer and went to be with his beloved daughter Lianne and his brother Murray. Bill leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Dale; sons, Mike (Debbie), Kendall (Lori), Glenn, adopted daughter Alissa; step-daughter Katharine (Charles Walton); step-son Richard (Susan); 10 grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren. Especially missing the only Grandpa they knew are Mirela and Daniel. Bill was proud of his career that spanned 47 years with Ayerst/Wyeth Drug Company as the Premarin Lab Manager and later as field inspector. Bill was the avid owner of two top Pembroke Welsh Corgis - one in 1972 (Dylan) and the other in 2006 (Charlie). He was well known and dearly loved by many people in the Manitoba Dog World . Cremation will take place and a private memorial celebration of Bill's life will be held. Flowers are graciously declined but if people desire, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the PWCA (C) MB Section in care of, Treasurer Wendel Engel, Box 429, Arborg, MB R0C 0A0. Our grateful thanks to Pastor Dr. Henry Ozirny, Dr. J. Patrick Donnelly, nurses Sharon Rempel and staff at Stonewall Hospital for all their care and considerate kindness to both Bill and Dale as well as to Vera Appleyard, Lois Burchowski, Eunice Dyck and Sharon Harley. MacKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
