ROSALIA (ROSE) TESARSKI (nee MARCINIW) November 28, 1920 - September 27, 2007 It is with profound sadness that our family announces the peaceful passing of our Mother on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Seven Oaks Hospital, receiving the sacrament of anointing, the Last Rites, by Father Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. Mom was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Martin, in October 1997; son Don in August 1978; granddaughter Elyse in December 1977; sister Anne Hudak in 2004; parents, Peter and Magdilyn Marciniw and parents-in-law Alexander and Mary Tesarski. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Andrea (Dennis) Kaleta; grandchildren, Danny, Susan and Michael Kaleta; daughter-in-law Valerie (Peter) Kohut; grandson Cory (Tanya) Kohut and great-granddaughters, Talia Kohut and Amber Kaleta; many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Winnipeg on November 28, 1920. She was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church from its inception until 1990, when she became a member of St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church and a member of the Seniors Organization. Mom was a woman whose love exceeded all boundaries when it came to her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren, her face lighting up whenever she saw them. She was a woman of caring, love and compassion for all humanity. Her Catholic faith and her religious beliefs were life sustaining for Mom. Her love for the Blessed Virgin Mary and Lord Jesus was boundless. She prayed the Rosary everyday, often numerous times a day, praying that the Blessed Mother keep her family safe from harm, and for Her to intercede in times of need. She had the deepest respect for Father Raymond Lukie, C.Ss.R. who respected Rose for the beautiful person that she was and she looked forward to his visits. Over the years Mom immensely enjoyed entertaining, cooking for and feeding her entire family at Easter, Christmas, Thanksgiving dinners etc. Her needs were never great, she never demanded anything, and she always had a kind word and an understanding for everyone she knew. Mom worked at Gaspard Sons as a seamstress her entire life, until retirement. The family would like to thank the staff at Unit 5, third floor at Seven Oaks Hospital, in particular nurses Claudine Cintije and Cheryl Wollmann who showed much love and compassion for Mom in the last moments of her life. Prayers will be said on Monday, October 1, 2007, 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 250 Jefferson Avenue on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, 10:00 a.m. with Father Raymond Lukie C.Ss.R. officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Manitoba or for Divine Liturgy requests. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
