After moving to various air force bases in Canada, the family finally settled in Gimli and then they moved on to Arnes where Rose and Jack ran Dixon's General Store for 14 years. The family would like to say thank you to Dr. R.C. Patel and the nursing staff in the Palliative Unit at the Gimli Hospital, who kept Mom comfortable in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1101-191 Lombard St, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0X1. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
