MARY CAHA Peacefully on Friday, September 28, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer, Mary passed away at the age of 72 in the loving arms of daughter Jean, with her four legged friend Daisy by her side. Born February 21, 1935 in McCreary, MB. She lived in McCreary and Riding Mountain later moving to Winnipeg. She enjoyed her years at Gordon Bell High School where she enthusiastically participated in sports and school activities. Mary successfully spent her career in the Accounting field. Although she enjoyed bowling, strategic games and group activities, she spent many hours as a volunteer to several organizations. Her greatest love was her children and family. Mary, always a loving and devoted mother, rejoiced in her children's successes and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her but our memories will always warm our hearts. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter Jean and friend Daisy, grandchildren, Candyce and Sean, sisters, Emily Perkins, Dorothy Mozdzen, Rose (Nick) Gregresh, Margaret Saltel and Verna (Wally) Tibelius, several nieces, nephews and their families, her many friends, and sons, Tom and Rob. She was predeceased by her parents and several other family members. To all our family and friends, thank you for your expressions of love and caring when she needed it most. You gave Mary happiness just by being there for her. Much appreciation to her Doctor, Home Care Workers and Nursing Staff for their kindness, respect and support. Cremation and interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's name to the Vancouver Island Cancer Centre, 2410 Lee Ave. Victoria, BC V8R 6V5 or to the Victoria Hospice, 1510 Fort St. Victoria, BC V8S 5J2.
