GRIGORIOS PARASIDIS It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Grigorios Parasidis at the age of 69 on September 27, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre. Greg and his family came to Canada March 13, 1971. From 1979 to 1994 he ran the concessions at the beach of Birds Hill Park. In 1986 he founded The Nook Restaurant which he ran until he retired a few short years ago. Greg enjoyed nature walks, fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren, gardening and cooking for family gatherings. He leaves to mourn his wife Antigoni; children Bill, Athina (Kostas Pantzaris); grandchildren Katerina, Antigoni and George; brothers Nikos and Theodoros of Greece; sisters Agatha and Elleni also of Greece; sister-in-law Efthimia; nephew Soteiros (Cynthia), niece Anastasia (Silas) and nephew Alexandros. He was predeceased by his mother Anastasia, father Alexandros, and brother George. Prayers will be said Tuesday, October 2, 7:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Avenue.
