CLARA MAE THIESSEN (nee COLLING) 1917 - 2007 On September 29, 2007 at West Park Manor, Clara passed away. Clara was predeceased by her husband Peter, her parents; Frederick and Edith May Colling, siblings; Digory Jose, Edith Margaret and Robert George and his wife Audrey. Clara is survived by her children; Rosemary, Bruce (Gabrielle) and Mark (Marjorie), grandsons; Jeffrey and Cameron as well as extended family and friends in Alberta, BC and Manitoba. Clara was born in Nikomis, SK and grew up Kinistino, SK. She attended Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked at Air Force Headquarters in Ottawa during the Second World War where she met her husband Peter. They married in Ottawa before returning to Manitoba. While raising her family, Clara was also active at St. Peter's Anglican Church. The family would like to thank the staff at West Park Manor for the care and support they provided to Clara during her time there. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Elm at Grant with a reception to follow. Officiating will be Rev. P. Barnett. A private interment will take place. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Alzheimers Society or CancerCare Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
