Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD LESLIE MCCOLL Peacefully, on Saturday, September 29, 2007 Ronald McColl passed away, at the Grace Hospital, at the age of 79 years. Remaining to forever cherish Ron's memory are his wife, Bernice; son, Cameron and his wife Kimberley; as well as granddaughters, Melissa and Madison. He was predeceased by his father, Hugh; mother, Grace; and his sister, Loraine. Ron was born in Winnipeg on March 26, 1928 to Hugh and Grace McColl. As a young man, he enjoyed car racing at Brookland Speedway until his retirement from racing in 1968. Ron started his own business, repairing timers, in 1971 with Frank Hathaway. After turning the business over to his son in 2001, he took life very easy until his passing. A funeral service for Ron will be held on Saturday, October 6 at 10:30 a.m. in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to all of the staff, at the Grace Hospital, who cared for Ron.

Greetings Bernice, Have just heard about Ron's recent passing. His obit brought back many memories for me when I was a teenager in St. James. Ron and TK took me under their wing and I enjoyed my nights and weekends around the race crowd. I remember when you and Ron were married and when Cameron was born. Great memories from the past.
