ROSARIO CIRESI On September 30, 2007, Rosario Ciresi after a brief illness, went to be with the Lord. Rosario was born in Palermo Sicily on January 6, 1920, the oldest of six children. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years and best friend, Rosalia. He will be greatly missed by his children, Salvatore (Rosa) and Giuseppe (Anna); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul Albert), Rosemary (Joe Cappellano), Saro (Lore Lionetti) and Christine. He is survived by his sister Giovanna Anello; nephews, Pino Caramusa (Serafina), Rosario Caramusa (Pieretta); as well as many nieces and nephews in Belgium and Italy. Rosario was a man of great faith. He accepted all of his adversities because of his strong belief in the Lord. We could not have asked for a more devoted, compassionate father and grandfather. Rosario had a great passion for life and lived each moment to the fullest. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, tend his garden and be in the company of his friends. He understood the importance of friendship. One of his passions was baking and cooking for loved ones. He loved to travel and go on fishing trips and always looked forward to outings with his family, friends and senior community group. His legacy is one of generosity, loyalty, and love. Funeral service will be held at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel, 400 Hargrave St., at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, with Pastor Vincenzo Russo and Dustin Funk presiding. Entombment to follow at Holy Angel Mausoleum, Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. #1 E. and Navin Road. Our family would like to thank all of the staff at the Grace Hospital for giving their utmost compassion and care to Rosario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L OK6.
