GIOVANNI VADACCHINO On Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Victoria General Hospital, Giovanni Vadacchino of Winnipeg, MB, passed away, aged 79 years. Giovanni was born in Lago Cosenza, Italy, December 1, 1927. He came to Canada the summer of 1954 and married his true love Maria Porco, June 30, 1956. They started a family with their two sons Claudio and Gino. They soon moved to Winnipeg where they settled down; this year celebrating 51 years of marriage this past June. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Maria, sons, Claudio and Gino (Marion), brothers and sisters, Domenico (Dina), Rosa Vadacchino, Carmela Vadacchino in Italy; Nicola (Gina) Vadacchino, Mario (Saverina) Vadacchino from Canada. He was predeceased by his parents, father Benedetto Vadacchino and mother Emilia Mazzotta and son Joseph, brothers and sisters, Pepino Vadacchino (Maria Chilelli), Antonio Vadacchino, Maria Vadacchino, Giuseppina Vadacchino. Services at 9:30 a.m., with a funeral mass following at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg, Fr. Richard Arsenault officiating.
