Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJEAN MARY ROBERTSON (MCWILLIAMS) 1917 - 2007 Peacefully, on October 1, 2007, in Victoria, BC, Jean passed away. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Mary Simeonidis, granddaughter Barbara Simeonidis (Boyd) and her grandson David Simeonidis. Predeceasing her were her parents Norman and Ida Robertson and her brother Jack. Jean lived most of her life in Winnipeg, attending Laura Secord and Gordon Bell schools, United College and Success Business College. She enjoyed working as a secretary for Eaton's and the Federal Government. Music was always a big part of her life, being the pianist for her high school's orchestra, teaching piano to her daughter and many children in her neighbourhood, attending the WSO for many years, and also playing piano and organ in the Personal Care Home in Victoria. Jean had a strong faith in God. She was confirmed as a teenager in St. Margaret's Anglican Church in Winnipeg and was baptized in her seventies, becoming a member of Portage Avenue Church, Winnipeg. Jean enjoyed reading the Bible and reading books by Pastor Bill Hybels. Jean's family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Woods Personal Care Home and the Stanley Hiscock Unit in Victoria for their wonderful care, kindness and support of Jean for the past five years. A private burial and time of remembrance will be held in Victoria.
