DENISE VERCAMMEN It saddens us to announce the peaceful passing of our mother Denise Vercammen on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Foyer Valade. Denise was predeceased by her husband Rene in 1995, her son Christian an 1964 and her sister Mariette in 2003. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Suzanne, Beatrice Rode, Nicole Carriere (Ron); grandchildren, Tyler, Kristin and Brendan, Jennifer Sims (Kyle); great-grandchildren, Whitney, Kyla and Dallas; brother Gerard Claeys; as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Belgium. Denise immigrated to Canada in the late 1950's and worked at St. Boniface Hospital for 27 years. She enjoyed knitting for everyone, especially for charities. Denise helped with many fundraisers at different Legions in the city. Her heart was pure gold, if you needed a hand, she gave you two. Denise loved to dance and loved music. For the last few years she could no longer dance, how she missed dancing. Mom you are now free to dance till your hearts content. The family would like to thank the staff of Foyer Valade for the care that mom received while there. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations in Denise's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba,120 Donald Street, unit 10.
