FRANCES LUCILLE MOORE Peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon, MB. Frances was born September 15, 1915 in Veteran, AB the oldest of 14 children of Michael and Katerina Gorcak. She was predeceased by her husband Fred in 1958. She is survived by her three sons, James (Betty), Derek (Pam) and Brian (Heather); ten grandchildren, Scott (Priscilla) Dean, Tracey (Peter), Shannon (Graham), James, Collin (Apryl), Darren, Lesley (Alan), Jeremy, Kelly (Randy) and eight great-grandchildren, Andrew, Rhett, Sydney, Duncan, William, Kyra, Sierra and Natasha. She will be remembered by her brothers, John (Theresa), Alvin (Gloria), Donald (Rosemary), Bob (Teresa) and many nieces and nephews. Frances and her family moved to Teulon in 1949 and thus began a lifetime of community volunteerism along with her career as the Secretary of the Hunter Hospital. Her pride and joy was to see the growth of her family and their accomplishments. The United Church provided her with strength and comfort everyday of her life. The numerous boards she served on and the recognition given to her are a testament to her dedication to assist others and to give back to the community. The awards and recognition that Frances received are too numerous to list, but the Premier's Volunteer award is one that she took great pride in. Over her 55+ years as a member of The Teulon United Church she served on any and all committee's without hesitation and with pride. Mother resided in her own home until last year allowing her to work and enjoy the flowers and the outdoors and in the surroundings that she had planted. She enjoyed the visits from her family, out for lunch, stop for an ice cream cone, or a trip to the cottage and a Bar-B-Q. Support and encouragement for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her extended family was always there. A private interment has taken place at Windsor Cemetery with a celebration of her life taking place at Mackenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB at 3:00 p.m. October 9,2007 with a reception to follow. Officiating will be Rev. Patricia Baker. The family extends its sincere thanks to Dr. Mike Loudon, the incredible staff at Hunter Memorial, Dr. Graham, Rose Farmer and Dione Wytinck. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Mother's name be made to either the Teulon United Church Building Fund or the Hunter Hospital Foundation. Rest in peace Mother, we love you.
